In 1973 Tony Woodhall formed a company specialising in the design and manufacture of below the hook lifting equipment. Over the years the lifting and transportation of expensive products without damage has become an increasingly important part of the improvements in productivity in modern industry.

The title POWLIFT, which is a registered copyright for these products, was incorporated in the company name. POWLIFT HANDLING SYSTEMS LIMITED was formed to reflect the changes in handling techniques and systems which are always closely involved in the safe handling of products. The current Health and safety at work regulations, together with the mandatory CE marking of equipment has brought with it a change in the approach to risk based assessment of lifting equipment.

Our company has developed and we have formed an excellent working relationship with Bradley Lifting Corporation who are world leaders in the field of material handling and lifting equipment. This relationship allows us to share a pool of ideas and more importantly , designs to ensure that we can fulfill customers' expectations for well engineered , well manufactured and well designed products.
