Aluminium

From day one Powlift has worked closely with the aluminium industry worldwide supplying many pieces of equipment to the Alcoa and Alcan group and also exporting equipment to Russia, Brazil and Greece.  The extent of the equipment that has been supplied is vast, safely handling aluminium coils, slabs, billets and sheets.

Powlift equipment has also been designed and manufactured to be used in the production of aluminium and we have a complete range of grabs for handling anodes and flue wall equipment.

In the aluminium industry contamination and damage to the product is an issue.  Powlift grabs and lifters can be fitted with protection devices to eliminate damage to the item being handled.  We also supply cleaning sledges to polish the mill rolls to eliminate contamination to the aluminium during production.
